VicScreen has invested in digital games for more than 25 years, backing Victorian developers in their ambition to push boundaries and create some of Australia’s most exciting and well-known games.
Our suite of games programs supports projects, businesses and talent to grow their capability and capacity, build sustainable and globally competitive businesses, secure investment, and contribute to Australian culture and storytelling.
The Victorian Screen Incentive attracts projects or packages of work to be made at Victoria’s world-class games studios. We offer incentives of up to 10% of Qualifying Victorian Expenditure to projects that spend at least A$500,000 on games production in Victoria.
The Victorian Production Fund – Games supports Victorian digital games companies and Victorian key creatives to develop and release high-quality, diverse and engaging digital games.
The program funds the Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production phases of game development for PC, consoles, mobile, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) or extended reality (XR).
Up to $300,000 per stage and up to $500,000 per project is available to be cash-flowed into projects, with the equity remaining with the company or individual.

VicScreen is supporting up to 12 Victorian games developers who are early career or from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds to attend Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) and the Australian Game Developer Awards (AGDAs).
Each pass is valued at $499 AUD and provides access to GCAP at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre between 3 – 5 October and the AGDAs 2022 on Wednesday 5 October from 7pm at the Forum Melbourne.
Games Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) is Australia’s premier professional development and networking event for the game development sector. Successful applicants will be invited to a briefing prior to GCAP on Tuesday 27 September to connect with other recipients and feel prepared prior to attending the conference.
