VicScreen has invested in digital games for more than 25 years, backing Victorian developers in their ambition to push boundaries and create some of Australia’s most exciting and well-known games. 

Our suite of games programs supports projects, businesses and talent to grow their capability and capacity, build sustainable and globally competitive businesses, secure investment, and contribute to Australian culture and storytelling. 

INVESTMENT

Our Victorian Production Fund – Games program support Victorian studios to develop original IP and successfully release their titles into the global marketplace. 

INCENTIVES

The Victorian Screen Incentive attracts projects or packages of work to be made at Victoria’s world-class games studios. We offer incentives of up to 10% of Qualifying Victorian Expenditure to projects that spend at least A$500,000 on games production in Victoria.

SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Our Key Talent Company Placements, Specialist Placements and Games Development Internships support the growth and development of Victorian games talent and businesses, nurturing the next generation of developers and strengthening Victoria’s games ecosystem.

Victorian Production Fund (VPF) — Games

The Victorian Production Fund – Games supports Victorian digital games companies and Victorian key creatives to develop and release high-quality, diverse and engaging digital games. 

The program funds the Pre-Production, Production and Post-Production phases of game development for PC, consoles, mobile, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) or extended reality (XR). 

Up to $300,000 per stage and up to $500,000 per project is available to be cash-flowed into projects, with the equity remaining with the company or individual. 

Applications can be received at any time.
