The suite of programs also provides Victorian companies with greater potential to source local expertise and grow their businesses.
Our Industry Development program supports organisations and guilds to deliver activities that provide skills, capacity and capability development opportunities for a diverse and inclusive range of Victorian key creatives and crew.

Key Talent Production Placements supports early to mid-career Victorian writers and directors to develop their skills through paid, hands-on placements on a production.
The 6 to 12-week placements are offered on local and international film, television and online projects being made in Victoria. To be eligible for a placement, you first need to successfully apply for our Key Talent Placements Register.
You will be notified 6-8 weeks after applying if you have been placed on the register. You will then be considered for placements as they arise, based on your skills and experience as well as the production’s requirements.

Key Talent Company Placements support early to mid-career film, television, and games key creatives to develop their skills through paid, hands-on placements in a Victorian screen business.
The placements are offered at established Victorian production and game development companies, generally for 6-12 months. Our primary focus is placements in roles that drive projects forward and are involved in making key decisions i.e. producer.

Specialist Placements fast-track the skills development of mid-career Victorian crew in technical roles that are in high demand in Victoria’s screen industry. The paid, hands-on placements are offered on film, television, online, games, animation or VFX productions, or within a Victorian-based screen business.

Professional Attachments support the skills development of early career Victorian crew through paid, hands-on attachments on film, television and online productions being made in Victoria.
The 5 to 12-week attachments are an invaluable opportunity to work alongside an experienced Head of Department or crew member in departments such as camera, animation, wardrobe and production office.
To be eligible for an attachment, you first need to successfully apply for our Professional Attachments Register.
You will be notified approximately 8 weeks after applying if you have been placed on the register. You will then be considered for attachments as they arise, based on your skills and experience and the production’s requirements.
