Originate is a dynamic development and production program to support and amplify the work of feature film writers from backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in screen.
Devised in collaboration with internationally acclaimed story developer and facilitator Angeli MacFarlane, the three-stage development program takes projects from early-stage concept to low budget production-ready screenplays. After this intensive development period, one project is greenlit and produced with finance from VicScreen, SBS, Arenamedia and other partners.
