Career Summary

Andy Brown is a BAFTA and VES nominated Visual Effects Supervisor with 30 years of experience designing and directing VFX for film and television. With a career as a VFX Supervisor at Animal Logic, Method Studios, and Mill Film Andy now works as an independent Production VFX Supervisor based in Melbourne. His extensive on-set shoot supervision experience on studio films includes Black Panther (Marvel Studios), Dora and the Lost City of Gold and World Trade Center (Paramount), The Great Gatsby and Sucker Punch (Warner Brothers), Moulin Rouge! and Australia (Fox). Other favourite projects include Australian films such as Jane Campion’s Holy Smoke and Chinese co-productions Hero and House of Flying Daggers directed by Zhang Yimou. With a background in compositing and art direction, Andy collaborated with Baz Luhrmann and Production Designer Catherine Martin on creating 1920s New York in “The Great Gatsby” and art-directed the 20-minute 'Dragon Fantasy' in Zack Snyder’s Sucker Punch.
