Proudly different, Film Victoria is thrilled to support the 26th Melbourne Queer Film Festival (MQFF).
Featuring 120 films across a range of diverse programs including International Features (Queer & Not From Here), Innovative Queer Cinema (Avant-Gays) and Late Night films, the festival will also run an Industry Day on 9 April.
This includes an invitation only Film Lab for the filmmakers whose work was chosen for the Australian Shorts program and two panels for emerging filmmakers and interested public – Remembering The Man masterclass with the filmmakers, and From Script to Screen with Roger Monk, Jannine Barnes and Film Victoria.

The Australian premiere of Closet Monster direct from London’s BFI Flare & Toronto International Film Festival
The Australian Short Films and Awards Night featuring the best of local queer filmmaking talent with eight films up for three awards, including Film Victoria’s Best Director Prize
The Australian exclusive: He Hated Pigeons including a live score and attendance by Director and festival guest Ingrid Veninger
Screening at ACMI, Kino Cinemas and Cinema Nova, MQFF runs from 31 March – 11 April.
