Bikes might fly – new documentary takes to the skies

Film & TV  25 Aug 2016

Buckle up for Motorkite Dreaming - the ultimate Aussie adventure story charting four amateur adventurers as they fly 4,000km across the Australian outback on two microlights (motorbikes with wings).

Led by two Aboriginal guides, including rock ‘n roll royalty, Carroll Karpany (Us Mob), Aidan, Daryl, Lexi and Elsie soar through the spiritual heartland of Australia and connect with a culture thousands of years old along the way.

Produced by John Cherry’s Intafusion Films and directed by Charlie Hill Smith, Motorkite Dreaming was supported through Film Victoria’s Assigned Production Investment program. The film had its premiere at the inaugural Australian Hot Docs this year and a national tour is now underway across Australia.

Motorkite Dreaming will be available on DVD in September.
