Career Summary
Jess is a Melbourne-based filmmaker who has been working in film, television and commercial production since graduating from RMIT’s screen & media school in 2009. While working in the industry and building her extensive list of domestic and international credits as an assistant production coordinator, Jess has continued to develop her own creative projects. Her latest short film, The Test, recently concluded its hugely successful run on the film festival circuit and in 2023 she co-founded Pikelet Pictures with producer Scarlett Koehne. After concluding a Vicscreen director’s attachment with Peter Farrelly on Ricky Stanicky, Jess is set to direct Pikelet’s first project, Screen Australia funded web series Videoland, which goes into production later in the year. A proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, Jess is dedicated to increasing visibility by producing engaging and relatable queer stories for Australian screens and beyond.
