Career Summary
Kim has worked in theatre and film for the past twenty five years. For the past ten it has been in writing and researching for several Historical Biographical film projects that are either in development or in preproduction. She is a dual citizen. She has been a Judge for the AFI and was on the Events Committee for the Directors Guild and a Board of Director for WIFT Victoria. Kim intends to Direct more films in the coming year but happy to still do wardrobe and art direction. She ran her own theatre, KG Shine Productions and drama school, KGM Casting and Acting. Known as Kim Gelvin-Melville during her last time in Melbourne, she is now going under Gelvin. She enjoys directing, casting, writing and producing so happy to be hired to assist in these areas. Special and Technical Skills
Kim has taught acting and directed live theatre most of her life. She has an eye for detail with art direction and excellent continuity. She is an experienced researcher with 25 years behind her and is great at working on character development with actors. Her credits here do not reflect her full ability to select talent for projects as well as coordinate full productions.
