Women in Games Fellowship launch

Industry Updates  10 Feb 2016

The new Women in Games Fellowship was officially launched last night at an information session aimed at providing details on the initiative. A broad representation of Victorian female game developers and organisations looking to support the program attended the event, which also included a discussion with Alison Gibb, Development Director at EA/Firemonkeys, and a Q&A session.

The fellowship has been established to help address the current gender imbalance in both the local and international games industries. It will assist women to undertake fellowships and professional development opportunities that will directly assist them to undertake key creative, management and/or leadership roles in the Victorian games sector.

Submissions for the program are now being accepted through our online application form.

Further information on the program is available on our Funding pages. Applications close 6 May.

Cherie Davidson, a Film Victoria brokered International Fellowship recipient shared her story and experience from 2015, highlighting the benefits of a similar program.
