My VicScreen FAQs

Access and Registration

1. Do I need to create a new account in My VicScreen, or can I use my existing SmartyGrants login?

a) Open Contracts

  • If you have an open contract with VicScreen, you will receive an invitation via email to create an account in My VicScreen. Please follow the prompts in the email to activate your account and access your contract data.
  • If you do not redeem the invitation within 90 days, you will not be able to access your contract data for security reasons.
  • If you miss the 90-day window, please reach out to your VicScreen contact who can send you a new invitation.
  • If you cannot find your invitation email, please check your spam folder or get in touch with your main VicScreen contact.

b) Previous Applicants

If you have had a funding agreement with VicScreen in the past, you will need to create a new account through My VicScreen after 27 July 2026.

Go to my.vicscreen.vic.gov.au and follow the registration process.

c) New Applicants

If you are a new applicant, you will need to create a new account through My VicScreen after 27 July 2026.

2. What should I do if I forget my password or can’t sign in?

You can reset your password on the My VicScreen Sign In page.

3. Is My VicScreen mobile friendly?

We recommend submissions are completed using a laptop or desktop. My VicScreen is accessible on all modern browsers.

4. How do I change my account details?

Once signed into My VicScreen, you can update your account details including identity, professional information, address, screen categories, demographics, credits, and organisations by clicking your name in the top-right corner and selecting My Profile. From there, make your changes and click Save to ensure your account remains accurate and up to date.

How to submit an application

1. How do I start a new grant application?

After creating or signing into your My VicScreen account, the Apply for Funding screen lists all active funding rounds you’re eligible for, along with the program’s name, a brief description, and closing date. To begin a new grant application, click Select next to your chosen round.

2. Can I save my application and return to it later?

Yes, you can save your application at any time by selecting Save as Draft and return to it later. When you’re ready to continue, go to My Applications to view all your applications including drafts, submitted, withdrawn, and expired. From Draft Applications, simply select your application to pick up where you left off. Your application will remain as a draft until submitted. We suggest frequently saving your application to avoid losing any information.

3. How do I upload supporting documents?

You’ll be prompted to upload supporting documents at various stages of your application. When prompted, click the Select File button, choose the file from its location and click Open or drag and drop your file directly into your application.

4. Will I receive confirmation once my application is submitted?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation email once your application has been successfully submitted. To view your submitted applications, go to My Applications and select Submitted Applications. There, you can see each application’s status, submission date, and requested amount.

5. What if I need to edit my application after submission?

Prior to making any edits, it is recommended that you reach out to the relevant Grants Officer assigned to the program to discuss. You can find them on the VicScreen website under Your Team at VicScreen on the relevant Funding & Support page.

6. Can I download a copy or preview the form before I apply?

Yes, blank application forms can be previewed by downloading a PDF copy from the Funding & Support page on the VicScreen website.

7. Can I download a PDF copy of my application?

No, you can’t download a PDF copy of your application, but you can view your completed application from My Applications > Submitted Applications.

8. Can I withdraw an application?

Yes, you can withdraw draft or submitted applications. From My Applications, select and open the application from either Draft Applications or Submitted Applications and click Withdraw. The application will be visible from Withdrawn Applications to help you track and manage your funding submissions.

Before withdrawing, it is recommended that you reach out to the relevant Grants Officer assigned to the program to discuss. You can find them on the VicScreen website under Your Team at VicScreen on the relevant Funding & Support page.

9. Can I get an extension on my application due date?

Please refer to VicScreen’s Terms of Trade to view our extension policies.

10. Can I change the owner of the application over to another person?

No, you are unable to do this via My VicScreen.

11. Can I download a copy of my contract?

If your contract was signed after 27 July 2026, you will be able to download a copy of your contract. Go to My Contracts > Contracts. From this section, you can also see an overview of your current and past agreements, including their start and end dates, contract amounts, and status.
